My IPhone Photography Tips When Taking Pictures of Your Own Make-Up looks!
Those of you who have followed me for a while will see I create lots of nail and makeup looks on myself. This is because I can never put down my makeup brushes and nail varnishes! It also gives me a chance to always experiment with new products as well as keeping up to date with my skills! Not all of us have a model to play with every day(oh wouldn’t that be amazing?!)
Today’s post is therefore on IPhone photography tips when snapping away at our nail and makeup looks! I hope this helps…
*Hold the phone like you would a camera
*Don’t zoom in with the zoom on the camera, zoom in with your feet or hand depending if your taking a picture of your model or yourself. IPhone loses heaps of quality even with a tiny bit of zooming and it becomes really grainy and pizelated. So I never move the zoom in.
*Shoot the same look a few times- the above picture shows how different your look can come across in different angles shot! I love this about photography.
* Get the lighting right! Light with camera phones is important – the lower the light the more grainy and bad quality it becomes not letting people see your beautiful work. Keep the light behind you and the look well lit.
*Process! Most of my makeup/nail pictures are processed. I think that is the beauty of phonology, you have the ability to capture the moment even though the quality and look might not be what you wanted. Then after a few tweaks on my trusty Instagram and other photo apps I have amazing looks to show my followers. The above picture I shot with an IPhone 4s, edited on Instagram and then put into four squares on Diptic!
